Time for Delivarance, Kathryn Blackburn received a standing applause yesterday, even though she lost the fight on points. The two very strong boxers stood in the centre of the ring fighting blow for blow, through out the full three rounds, giving the crowed and the Sky views (4th December) a fight worth its weight in gold. Kat new to the sport, having only joined the Muay Thai community 10 weeks prior to last nights fight, found the close quarter knee clinching a bit awkward. Thanks to the corner men R Fifield, M Whyte. Well done Kat!! Tom Lohman, the mush anticipated southpore fighter, was once again let down on the night of the fight. When his fighter 'JAMEEL HAMILTON' - Authentic Muay Thai Dorset, took one look at him, and turned tail and run! Although Tom won the mental battle with his opponent, I feel Tom would have much prefered to kick his butt!!

Does anyone have a plane? The club has been in discussion with a Greek promotor of combat sports (Inc. Muay Thai, Kick boxing, and free style fighting) With the scene set to see Matin Mothersole fly out to Greece (Malia-Heraklion Krete, 27/7) as the first fighter to represent the Club overseas this year. It was an exciting time, unfortunatly due to the promotor unable to secure a flight ticket for Martin all has fallen apart at the last moment. Fighters, flyers, veneue, wager and spectators all awaiting the heavy weight knockout menace, Martin to enter the ring. It is a big disapointment for everybody. However still big things to come, Marcus Delamare will be flying out over the next couple of weeks to compete in a Full Muay Thai rule competition. Along side Cambridge Freefigters own Gerry Coville and Rob competing in an explosive freestyle fight competitions. Then later on in September Tom Lohman & Martin Mothersole, will be competing in either a low leg rules Kick boxing fight or a Muay Thai Fight. If the promotor can sort the flights out, this could very well be a exciting couple of months for the club!!!!!!!!
