English Champions Second Outing, on the up and coming WMTO show in Birmingham - 18th November. Eliot’s hard training over the last two weeks in Thailand should show during this fight, just how much he has come on. We are expecting another win from Eliot, as nothing less will do. His fight schedule got a boost whilst in Thailand, as he has now been asked to compete at Rangsit stadium in April, during the Songkran festivities, the event will be broadcast live through out Thailand. This, and the three interclubs scheduled, along with his run up fight in February on the Master Sken show should leave Eliot in a prime position to challenge for the English Title in June ‘07.

Christmas & New Year’s, we will be finishing on Wednesday 13th December and returning on the Monday 8th January. As we head into 2007, we have decided to make some serious changes to the club times, prices (no price change for existing members) and policy. Please make sure you check out the new training times and prices which will start to appear on the website in late December, early January (can also be found on the notice board in club). The most important thing for the moment, is that from the start of next year we will be starting sessions at 7pm (not 6.30pm), there will be an all new kids session early on Wednesdays, and that Saturdays is having a complete change around.

WMC Fighters Training Thailand Tour, was for me a very hard going tour. Being stuck in a class room for upto 9 hours a day, studying, in my favourite country, was a killer. However, I have now been qualified by the WMC as National Level Referee & Judge, hitting 91% and gaining an ‘A’ grade (pic 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). Everyone else it seems had a blinding tour, finishing their last week on Kho Samui partying (and calling me up, to let me know how much of a good time they where having) like there was no tomorrow. That just leaves one thing, Songkran ‘Party Animal’ Tour April ‘07! Yep, you guessed it, I have got some partying to catch up on, the next tour is not for the weak! If you havent already been to Thailand, then make 2007 the year you explore Thailand. Check out our sister site www.thailandtours.co.uk for all of the information you may require.

There are so many updates that it would take all day to list, so for now, browse, enjoy and comment on any of the things there, or missing. Ajarn Tony Moore Seminar, was one of the most fantastic seminars I have been to in years. The seminars main focus was Krabi Krabong, but we finished the session of Muay Boran from the Buddhai Swan institute. As one of the students commented ‘Its like the final pieces of the jigsaw just fell into place’, and I couldnt agree more. There are very few instructors in the world, let alone in the UK that I would feel comfortable calling Ajarn, but Ajarn Tony Moore is one of them! He did infact just seem to make things fall into place, humble, enthusiastic and knowledgeable... thankyou. ( pic 1, 2, 3, 4, 5)

With some 200 spectators, 17 fights, 34 fighters, both male and female, aged 4 yrs to 44yrs this was truely a magnificent event for us. Thanks to everyone who attended.

Techniques page,
the grading syllabus is still in its infancy and has faced many changes through out the last three years. With the final two grades still being tweaked to perfection, ensuring a well rounded and comprehensible instructor will be produced. I have completed several of the grade descriptions, adding pictures where I have had them.

This is a long term project that will hopefully be completed by the end of the year. It should serve as a wealth of information for anyone interested in Muay Thai, or Singto Muay Thai's own style. (here)

New 3000sqft venue,
has been found and we are currently in the begining stages of arranging a new lease. The venue is centraly located, three times the size we actualy require, but is just to perfect not to attempt to get hold of the lease. Unfortunately over the Christmas we received bad news about the Howard Mallet Centre radio station area (the area in which the new gym was going to based), that the area had to be left as it is, due to a small clause in the previous lease agreement, between the council and the previous owners, that public broadcasting facilities are available.

I.T.K.B.A. Southern Area Title Shot,
Marcus Delamare will be competing at the up and coming event 'Time for Deliverance III' at the Wembley Conference Centre on the 12th March. Marcus has had an unfortunate run of bad luck in most of his previous fights, coming up against 4 fighters who have all gone on to be champions. I believe that with Marcus's new found commitment to training, and the prestige ring experience he has gained, he will walk away on the night, the new I.T.K.B.A. Southern Area Champion. A bus will be put on for this event, as it is expected there will be 60+ fans will be going to watch him. More info closer the time, make sure you give him your support.
