The fight was scheduled for five rounds, but Cormac was far to strong and confident to allow the fight to go full distance. Well done Cormac O'Rourke.

Hottest Month Yet! This month will end up being the hottest and busiest month yet for everyone at Singto.

We have fighters out every weekend, traveling up and down the country to test their skills against some of the countries best. With several fighters defending and competing for regional, national and other top titles, make sure you stay in touch for the next wave of Singto Champions.

There will also be several new corner men trying out their new found skills and testing out their training over the next couple of months.

Our very own "Blood on the Dance Floor 2" kicks off on the 19th November, with twenty, yes, twenty of our own fighters stepping it up a gear and entering the ring.

Some £800 pounds has been invested in new training equipment, both for the interclubs and for the weekly sessions. Another £300 has been invested in giving us an image to the general public, with the all new inside, outside standalone and wall signs!

We have now increased sessions to include several new specialist locations, and with help from central government you may just see three new class's start very soon.

And dont forget that just around the corner we are just about to move into the very first Full Time Muay Thai Gym to hit East Anglia. So come on what are you waiting for, get involved, become part of the Singto Team!!

Blood on the Dance Floor, BANG! BAANG! BBAAANG!! And that was just the first three fights, and it just kept getting better and better with every one of the following 21 fights. Thats right! 24 fights, 48 fighters and 150 people watching the show, this was the busiest and best event yet. Although an additional 30 fighters did not get a chance to fight on the day, I am sure their journey to Cambridge on this day was not wasted. Thanks to everyone who supported, and big thanks to Kru Gary from KO (London) for helping with everything. See images gallery for a closer look.

So what next? What do you think?

Is this the end off Singto Muay Thai? A question that is on everyones lips at the moment, after an article in the Cambridge Evening News this Friday left everyone gob smacked! The Howard Mallet Centre is to be knocked down, and we have a maximum shelf life of two months (two weeks being more realistic).

So what next for Singto? Full time or Full stop?
All good question with no real answer as yet.

We have the Cambridge Evening News in this Wednesday 20th July, and I ask all Singto Members, new and old to turn up with trophies or trinkets of accomplishment received whilst training with me - Ryan S Rudkin. I am serious, this is no joke. They are in for a photoshoot of the group, and I want it to represent the biggest part of our group that it can. Let yourself be heard, and seen by those that might want to take away your past time activities.

Shane Littlechild, the new F.I.S.T. (Federation of Independent Style Training) Midlands Area Champion. Shane beat his very tough opponent from the Thai Fist gym, in Birmingham, on a unanimous points decision. Shane had been put forward for several Area Title chances, but due to opponents pulling out or not enough space on fight cards, his title shot never came around. Also a very big well done to Cormac O'Rourke who demolished, and scarred the hebi-jibies out of everyone, with his 10 second TKO in the 1st round. Watch this space for another future champion. BIG well done to our new, and our first Area Champion - Shane Littlechild.

Our hope, and my personal belief is that Max is of such a good calabor, that he will succeed! Make sure you give him all the encouragement that you can, go on Max, bring back the Gold!!!

United as One, over the last couple of months big things have been happening on the UK circuit. Whether you know it or not, one thing is for sure, you soon will! There is currently alot of work going on to help unifi the Uk Muay Thai scene. It is in my opinion and in the opinion of many, many others, about time! Be assured, the UK Muay Thai scene will rise to become one of the strongest scene's in the world over the next couple of years. In the mean time, train hard, be open to change, and stay true to Muay Thai!

And a big well done to Peter King, Yarik, O and our newest fighter Tim, aka Fred, Fredi, Fredick... anyway lads well done excellent performance!

Kru Tony Myers Seminar, the Judging and Refereeing semiar held last month by Kru Tony was much appreciated by all of the students attending. I would like to thank Kru Tony for taking the time out to come and hold this much sort after seminar. Many questions where answered and a few new techniques will now be added to our training, because of one or two new changes to the Muay Thai rules. Although we are the first to hold the seminar under the newly appointed head of Judges & Referee's - Kru Tony Myers, it is hoped that the seminar will be re-run later on in the year. If any of you are interested in becoming an Instructor for the Network, you must take this seminar as part of your grade.

In an attempt to get ourselves more established as a serious force to contend with, the Huntingdon Tuesday night class will be closed ( class's will continue to run on Thursday, until we have a new club instructor - not enough hands, sorry), to allow me to open an advanced/fighters class in Cambridge. Along with this it is hoped by the end of the year, the new full time premises will have been signed off and ready to go for 2006.

=22nd February 2005
SMTN Open Light Sparring Competition, I think everyone would agree that the first Open Competition was a success! So get ready for 'Re-union of the Art II' , to be held on the Saturday 2nd April. This competition will see several more gyms invited and attending than before, it is hoped that we can beat the 15 fights held on the last event. Unfortunately, due to circumstances out of our control, we have been unable to expand the matting area as hoped, and the new ring is on hold until June. However there will be a 20 min demonstration of Vale Tudo and ground work by the superb Cambridge Free Fight gym. This is a no win, no lose event, with everyone receiving a quality trophie!!

He has be training hard for the last 7 months, for these competitions making his second win look easy, with his opponent from Norway throwing in the towel one minute into the second round! We are currently looking for sponsorship for Max's journey to Thailand, hopeing that we can raise the remainder of the £1300 needed for the trip. We have already sealed a sponsorship with a local company the 'Astron Group', who have paid for his travel to and from Thailand. We now need to raise the remainding £500 to cover accomodation, food, equipment and training!Do make sure that you watch out for the local press, we have a run on storey going into the Cambridge Evening News for the next couple of weeks, a morning and afternoon broadcast on Star 107.9fm Radio, and we may have some exposure by Anglia Tv by nexy week.

Singto Open Sparring Competition, wow!! First lets start by saying thankyou to all the gyms and fighters taking part, without you all, the event would not have been a success. In case you missed it, we had our first Open Sparring Competition. It was a first for the area, even maybe for East Anglia! We had 6 gyms attending, 30 fighters taking part, and about 100+ people watching. Awesome turn out, for what ended up being a hell of a good show. The next one will be announced later on next month, as this will happen again, with more gyms, more fighters and more action!!
