Thailand's sprawling Northeast plateau is known to the Thai's, as I-San.

It's beautiful, clean, unique and truly the heart of Thailand.

You will be left to your own devices on the first night in Kalasin, to explore and experience Isan, its people, culture and lifestyle for yourself.

Then it will be an early morning wake up call, so that you may refresh yourself before joining in the day's double wedding celebrations.

This is a time of over indulgence, relaxation and enjoyment. You might put on a few pounds in weight, but don't worry we'll work that off when we get back to Bangkok.

Being some of the few foreigners who travel out this far, you will be welcomed with open arms by all of the local Thais.

You may even be pointed at, and talked about in hushed voices, as in these parts foreigners (falang) are rarity and not the norm.
